The Sundilla Acoustic Concert Series was started in 1993 by Katie Lamar Smith, Jay Lamar and Mary Littleton. In March 1996, the series found a permanent home at the historic Unitarian Fellowship building in Auburn, Alabama. A not-for-profit, volunteer effort, the Sundilla series provides original, acoustic music in an intimate, gracious setting where it can be enjoyed by performers and listeners alike.

Organizers strive to embody the diversity of "folk" music by opening the series to a wide range of musical styles. Performers include nationally known and budding singer-songwriters playing everything from traditional music (folk, blues, country, bluegrass, and jazz) to fast-folk and alternative genres.

The Series operates year-round and typically hosts one concert per month. If you have any questions or comments about the Sundilla Series contact Bailey Jones. If you are an agent or performer, you can get much of the info you want here.

Although Sundilla is not affiliated with any church or religion,
it is deeply indebted to the Auburn Unitarian Universalist Fellowship,
without whose support it would not have been possible.

Coffee, water, tea and assorted foods are provided free at all concerts. Those attending are welcome to bring their own refreshments. Children are also welcome at Sundilla concerts, and those 12 and under are often admitted free of charge. Sundilla is a member of the North American Alliance for Folk Music and Dance and is recognized as an official not-for-profit organization.

Volunteers are always welcome and needed to help provide hospitality, sound reinforcement and expertise, educational outreach, promotions and publicity, and many other duties. You can also help Sundilla financially by joining the "Friends of Sundilla" for a $25 (or more) tax-deductible donation. If you are interested in volunteering your time and talent to Sundilla, or joining the "Friends of Sundilla" group, follow the FOS link or contact Sundilla.
